About Twisted Fig:

"Sailing the seas of lost time, a band of wild women pillage and plunder unsuspecting closets and gloryboxes, harvesting pieces of eight, stitching stories into cloth to adorn their sisters with artful treasures."

Creating stories and lands of fantasy are an integral part of the Twisted Fig creative process.

Starting by surrounding herself with piles of fabric, second-hand clothing and any manner of beautiful junk, CJ Baxter delves into her imagination to design each piece for the Twisted Fig label.

Often more costume than fashion, Twisted Fig pieces tend to inspire a sense of wonder in the wearer, encouraging adventure and play.

Almost all Twisted Fig pieces are one-offs, using either reclaimed materials to make something from scratch, or pre-loved existing garments are remastered and embellished with seas of stitching, trims and found objects.

Twisted Fig is a business with integrity. Environmental and ethical issues are considered wherever possible. The use of recycled materials and found objects is not only a way to ensure you a product that is one of a kind, but also a way to help lessen our impact on the environment.

Thank you for supporting Australian small business.
